Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, focusing on a multi-type card engine that weaponizes forced multiplayer combat. The deck runs over 28 cards with multiple types—including artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, kindred spells, and artifact lands—to repeatedly trigger Rendmaw's ability. Each trigger distributes tapped 2/2 flying Bird tokens to all players, permanently goading them to force opponents into attacking one another. As opposing life totals dwindle, the deck draws cards from death triggers using Morbid Opportunist and Deathreap Ritual, while stocking the graveyard to enable delirium. Symmetric punishers like Wing Storm and Pygmy Kavu convert the large number of opposing Bird tokens into massive card advantage and burst damage. The deck closes games either through forced combat attrition or by deploying decisive threats like Demolisher Spawn and Ezuri's Predation.
