Deck overview

This deck is a blue-white artifact-value pile helmed by Mendicant Core, Guidelight, built to exploit the "start your engines!" mechanic. The core loop is reaching max speed - via three separate turns of combat damage - and then paying {1} to copy every artifact spell the commander casts. A dense web of cost reducers, token-makers, and copy effects (Sai, Master Thopterist, Ultron, Artificial Malevolence, Repurposing Bay, Guidelight Pathmaker) rapidly multiplies artifact permanents, powering anthems like Master of Etherium and Salvation Engine and giant unblockable beaters like Kappa Cannoneer. Wins come from combat with evasive artifact creatures, a tempo-control blowout from Riptide Gearhulk, mass recursion via Brilliant Restoration and Dance of the Manse, or the alternative condition Mechanized Production accelerated by copy effects. The commander is a force-multiplier rather than the engine itself - the 99 is a complete self-sustaining artifact deck that functions without him.
