Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Spellslinger Voltron strategy commanded by Speedball, New Warrior. Speedball turns every cheap targeting instant and sorcery into a +2/+2 buff while allowing you to redirect those spells. By pairing Speedball with mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Electro, Assaulting Battery, the deck chains 1-mana cantrips into exponential power growth. Evasion spells such as Shadow Rift, Slip Through Space, and Distortion Strike ensure Speedball connects, while double-strike enablers (Assault Strobe, Temur Battle Rage) enable one-shot commander kills by Turn 4. The deck circumvents traditional Voltron limitations through Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, Chandra's Ignition, and Seize the Day, which project lethal damage across all three opponents in rapid succession. An elite suite of free and 1-mana protection spells shields the combo turn effortlessly.
