The elf king by Aboybrushedred

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Sultai elf deck helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking is a highly tuned combo-value hybrid that leverages the commander's unique ability to access all activated abilities of Elf cards in the graveyard-effectively making the yard an extension of the command zone. The primary win condition is Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact, which can be assembled quickly through a dense tutor suite and fast mana. Backup plans include generating infinite mana with Devoted Druid and untap synergies, then dumping it into Finale of Devastation for an overrun kill, or using Reanimate to reanimate a combo piece from the yard. The deck also draws heavy card advantage via Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Thranduil's legendary-elf draw trigger, while numerous clone effects (Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Spark Double, etc.) multiply those draws and create redundant threat copies. With a low average mana value (2.23) and 13+ mana sources, the deck executes its plan reliably and protects key turns with a suite of free counterspells.
