Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Orzhov Vampire tribal build commanded by Edgar, Charmed Groom. The deck focuses on assembling a wide board of early Vampire creatures and Vampire tokens, then scaling their stats through continuous anthems and lord effects. It features a heavy devotion to tribe-specific payoffs such as Bloodline Keeper, Captivating Vampire, and Legion Lieutenant, complemented by aristocrat drain effects from Cruel Celebrant and Marauding Blight-Priest. Edgar himself provides a persistent anthem effect and built-in resilience by converting into Edgar Markov's Coffin upon death, steadily creating lifelink Vampire tokens until he awakens again. Because the deck relies on fair combat damage without infinite combos or mass haste, it plays at a measured, mid-speed table tempo. Its high density of lifelink creatures generates strong defensive stabilization, while clean spot removal spells like Path to Exile, Despark, and Mortify allow it to police opposing key threats.
