Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, using his life-for-mana ability to accelerate into powerful black spells. The primary game plan is to drain opponents incrementally through extort triggers, Ayara, First of Locthwain, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and similar effects, while gaining life to fuel K'rrik's ability. The deck then finishes with Aetherflux Reservoir (converting life into direct damage) or a massive Exsanguinate. A reanimation subtheme with Chainer, Dementia Master, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Rise of the Dark Realms provides resilience and additional value. The deck is heavily reliant on K'rrik to cheat mana costs, making his protection and recastability critical.
