Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis control and midrange strategy commanded by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. It converts the act of committing crimes—targeting opponents, their permanents, spells, or graveyard cards—into recurring card selection and board advantage. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost, repeatable crime enablers such as Glasses of Urza, Liquimetal Torque, and Scrabbling Claws, alongside efficient mana rocks. Once Marchesa enters the battlefield, committing crimes allows the pilot to pay {1} to filter through the library, generating strong card velocity while stockpiling resources in the graveyard. The mid-to-late game transitions from reactive control into decisive win conditions through token generators like Gisa, the Hellraiser and Magda, the Hoardmaster, high-output engines like Bolas's Citadel, and the lethal draw-burn synergy of Niv-Mizzet, Parun combined with Curiosity. Dense, low-cost removal and counterspells ensure the deck continuously disrupts opposing plans while advancing its own.
