Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by The Wise Mothman, focusing on rad counters, self- and opponent-mill, and rapid +1/+1 counter distribution. The primary strategy uses Mothman's enter and attack triggers to inflict rad counters on all players. As players mill cards during their precombat main phases, Mothman distributes +1/+1 counters onto itself and evasive threats, quickly growing into a lethal airborne commander damage dealer. Proliferate engines like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Evolution Sage accelerate rad and poison counters, while mill payoffs like Syr Konrad, the Grim translate milled creature cards into direct life loss. If the primary commander beatdown plan is disrupted, the deck can transition to a compact combo finish featuring Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank, or execute mass-mill blowouts with Breach the Multiverse and Maddening Cacophony. The deck provides resilient midrange pressure, though it relies heavily on keeping key permanents in play over multiple turns.
