Commander: Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a turbo Rakdos "exactly-1-damage" combo deck built around Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The plan is to field a critical mass of cheap pingers - Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, Orcish Bowmasters, Mayhem Devil, Roiling Vortex, even the land-activated Mount Doom - and convert every "lose exactly 1 life" event into a +1/+1 counter on Ob and a playable card exiled from the top of the library. A dense fast-mana package (Dark Ritual, Seething Song, Jeska's Will, Chrome Mox, Sol Ring, Ancient Tomb) keeps the average mana value at a blistering 2.09, letting the deck chain a whole turn's worth of spells out of exile while Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist keep the mana flowing. It wins by storming into Grapeshot, looping Underworld Breach with rituals into Walking Ballista, or resolving the infinite counter-burn loops with All Will Be One or Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute. A huge flying, trampling Ob is the combat backstop.
