Deck overview

Ketramose, the New Dawn commands an Orzhov control deck that converts exile effects into steady card advantage. The strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns, deploys Ketramose on Turn 3, and establishes asymmetric graveyard locks using Rest in Peace and Dauthi Voidwalker. Because Ketramose draws a card whenever cards are exiled from graveyards or the battlefield on your turn, the deck's extensive suite of cheap exile removal continuously replaces itself. Premium answers such as Swords to Plowshares, Deadly Rollick, and Farewell keep opposing boards clear while Blind Obedience slows down aggressive strategies. For its endgame, the deck transitions into high-impact finishers starting around Turn 6, utilizing Bolas's Citadel alongside Aetherflux Reservoir, an inevitable Approach of the Second Sun, or an overwhelming Torment of Hailfire. Although the deck lacks specific tutors to execute fast combo kills, its redundant card flow and persistent stax pieces allow it to control the pace of the game and close out the table by Turn 8.
