Deck overview

This Dimir deck is an aristocrats combo strategy led by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The game plan combines resilient Zombie typal synergy with lethal sacrifice loops. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks, deploying inexpensive Zombies like Cryptbreaker and Carrion Feeder, and casting Wilhelt to generate decayed tokens and steady card advantage. The deck leverages black tutors and graveyard setup spells such as Entomb and Buried Alive to assemble its winning loop. The primary win condition uses Gravecrawler alongside Phyrexian Altar or Rooftop Storm and a drain payoff such as Diregraf Captain or Vengeful Dead to eliminate the table in a single turn. The deck also features high-impact alternatives like Bolas's Citadel and board suppression from Noxious Ghoul. While resilient to single-target removal due to ample graveyard recursion, it remains susceptible to resolved artifact hate and instant-speed graveyard exile.
