Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is the deck's central engine. Each noncreature spell grows Vivi, deals 1 damage to every opponent, and lets Vivi produce mana during the current turn. The deck uses cheap cantrips, cost reducers, rituals, and spell-trigger creatures to turn that temporary mana into a longer chain. Payoffs such as Firebrand Archer, Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, Longshot, Rebel Bowman, and Gandalf, Goblins' Bane make the chain threatening, while Thousand-Year Storm, Prismari, the Inspiration, and Grapeshot provide higher ceilings. In ordinary games, the engine becomes usable around turn 6 and creates a must-answer board around turn 6 or 7, but it does not reliably finish the table. The Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity combo is powerful but lightly tutored and expensive. Interaction is respectable, though holding answers competes with developing the storm engine.
