Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck is an optimized Mardu aggro-aristocrats and combo list. Edgar Markov remains in the command zone to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens via Eminence whenever you cast a Vampire spell. These tokens fuel powerful draw engines like Skullclamp and provide sacrificial fodder for Diabolic Intent and Ayara, First of Locthwain. The deck swiftly pivots from token swarming into an immediate win using the two-card infinite combo of Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. High-density fast mana and five unconditional black tutors ensure reliable Turn 4 combo execution. Strong protection pieces like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Deflecting Swat shield the critical turn against opposing disruption, while aggressive beatdown with Akroma's Will offers a resilient secondary plan.
