Deck overview

This Jeskai deck uses Captain America, First Avenger to lead an aggressive Equipment strategy that doubles as a direct-damage control engine. The deck ramps on early turns and casts Captain America on Turn 3. On Turn 4, his Catch ability attaches high-mana-value Equipment like Colossus Hammer or Excalibur, Sword of Eden for free. This creates an immediate 14-power commander damage threat while enabling his Throw ability to deal large chunks of direct damage at instant speed. Card draw engines like Puresteel Paladin, Sram, Senior Edificer, and Curiosity keep resources flowing as Equipment enters the battlefield. The deck protects its commander using tutorable equipment like Robe of Stars and Lightning Greaves, backed by free interaction such as Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver. While sequential combat takes several turns to eliminate all three opponents, board wipes and direct burn keep the table under control until victory.
