Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait deck is a classic Simic landfall value engine. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively in the early turns, deploy Aesi as a repeatable draw engine and extra-land enabler, then chain landfall triggers to generate overwhelming board presence. Token producers like Rampaging Baloths and Sapling Nursery create a wide army, while Baloth Woodcrasher and Ghalta, Primal Hunger become massive trampling threats. The deck can also lean on Roil Elemental to steal key creatures and Genesis Wave or Thunderous Debut for explosive value. A secondary, incidental win condition is Laboratory Maniac if the drawing engine ever empties the library, though this is not actively built toward. Combat damage with trample and deathtouch (from Ohran Frostfang and Venom Connoisseur) is the primary path to victory.
