Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Mardu aggro deck piloted by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. Isshin doubles all triggers that occur when a creature attacks, supercharging token generation, resource ramp, card draw, and drain triggers. The deck curves low-mana ramp into Isshin on Turn 3 and immediately follows with aggressive token generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar or Hero of Bladehold. By Turn 5, attacking with Isshin and payoffs like Mishra, Claimed by Gix, Hellrider, or Commissar Severina Raine unleashes devastating amounts of direct burn while sidestepping opposing blockers. Defensive staples like Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver, and Iroas, God of Victory protect the aggressive board state from sweepers and unfavorable trades. Additionally, the deck carries an infinite combat win condition via Combat Celebrant or Aurelia, the Warleader paired with Helm of the Host.
