Deck overview

This deck is a focused Rakdos combat engine helmed by Akul the Unrepentant. The strategy revolves around spending early turns deploying cheap multi-body creatures and token generators like Hordeling Outburst, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Sengir Autocrat. On Turn 4, Akul enters the battlefield and immediately sacrifices three creatures to cheat massive flying threats like Utvara Hellkite, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames directly from hand into play. The deck scales pressure through exponential Dragon token generation and wide aerial attacks, closing out games via combat damage across three response cycles. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game board development and functional reanimation backup through Victimize and Rakdos Joins Up, it lacks dedicated stack protection and fast mana. It relies on tight sequencing, efficient removal, and haste enablers like Dragon Tempest to overwhelm opponents before sweepers reset its board.
