Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Sultai midrange and combo deck commanded by Glarb, Calamity's Augur. It combines the efficiency of the Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact win condition with a robust Sultai control shell. In the early turns, fast mana such as Mox Diamond, Sol Ring, and Dark Ritual accelerates mana development while cheap dorks establish a wide resource base. Glarb, Calamity's Augur provides steady card flow by clearing the top of the library, fixing draws with surveil, and casting high-impact spells. Standout card advantage engines like Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring ensure continuous card advantage. The deck defends its win attempts and disrupts faster opponents using zero-mana counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, as well as asymmetric hate pieces like Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters. If the primary combo faces disruption, the deck pivots smoothly into graveyard recursion via Yawgmoth's Will or a large Finale of Devastation beatdown.
