Deck overview

This Boros Equipment Voltron deck leverages the partner pairing of Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist to bypass equip costs and deliver explosive early commander damage. Rograkh enters on Turn 1 at zero mana cost, bringing innate evasion through menace, trample, and first strike. Ardenn enters on Turn 3, instantly attaching all controlled Equipment and Auras—such as Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, and All That Glitters—directly to Rograkh at the beginning of combat. Because both the primary threat and the mana-cheating engine reside in the command zone, the deck achieves exceptional operational consistency. It supports its aggressive clock with redundant equip-cheaters like Forge Anew and Puresteel Paladin, a deep suite of protective spells like Boros Charm and Lightning Greaves, and tutors like Fighter Class and Open the Armory. While vulnerable to mass bounce and multi-player defense, Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar enables simultaneous table-wide commander damage.
