Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One leads a Boros Equipment Voltron deck that wins through combat damage, not combos. The primary plan equips Lightning or another threat with high-impact Equipment like Colossus Hammer, Embercleave, and Swords to force lethal commander or regular damage, then uses Lightning's Stagger trigger to double all subsequent damage to that player until your next turn. Secondary paths spread damage with Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, double it again with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Jeska, Thrice Reborn, or take extra combats with Karlach and Genji Glove. Lightning is the accelerator, not the sole threat; Bruenor, Wyleth, Astor and others carry Equipment equally well, so the deck keeps pressure even without its commander.
