Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Don Andres, the Renegade and combines Pirate tribal synergies with an extensive theft package. The game plan focuses on deploying early evasive Pirates and Rogues to generate Treasure tokens and exile cards from opponents' libraries. Once the commander enters the battlefield, any creature you control but do not own gains a +2/+2 buff, menace, and deathtouch, turning stolen utility creatures into lethal threats. In addition, casting stolen noncreature spells rewards you with tapped Treasures, maintaining your mana velocity into the late game. While the deck lacks dedicated infinite combos or fast mana, it generates substantial card advantage by turning opposing decks into its personal card pool. Win conditions center on swarming the table with enhanced stolen creatures, executing extra combat steps with Port Razer, or casting devastating mass reanimation spells like Rise of the Dark Realms.
