Format: Commander

Commander: Ramirez DePietro

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir theft/control build helmed by Ramirez DePietro, a commander who is functionally a vanilla 4/3 first strike and contributes almost nothing to the strategy. The actual game plan revolves around stealing opponents' permanents using cards like Hostage Taker, Gonti, Lord of Luxury, Control Magic, Treachery, and Bribery, while a dense suite of counterspells and removal locks down the board. A Pirate subtheme appears through Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator (generating treasure tokens) and Timestream Navigator (extra turns), but the core is goodstuff theft. Alternate wins include Expropriate for extra turns and theft, and the Mycosynth Lattice + Memnarch combo to steal all permanents. The deck is a slow, grindy control deck that aims to outvalue opponents through persistent theft and card advantage.
