Commander: Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a dedicated Nekusar, the Mindrazer build that forces opponents to draw extra cards while punishing each draw with life loss, direct damage, or attrition effects. The primary game plan is to deploy symmetrical draw engines (Kami of the Crescent Moon, Dictate of Kruphix, Temple Bell) and wheel effects (Windfall, Magus of the Wheel, Dragon Mage) to accelerate the table's card flow, then convert every drawn card into damage via Nekusar's trigger, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, Phyrexian Tyranny, and hand-size punishers like Iron Maiden and Viseling. Secondary win conditions include Niv-Mizzet, Parun pings, The Locust God swarm beats, and the alternate-condition Triskaidekaphile. The deck supplements its punishing core with a dense interaction suite and strong card selection to ensure it consistently reaches its payoff pieces.
