Big Boi John by Cactustird

Format: Commander

Commander: Sergeant John Benton

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Sergeant John Benton is a GW voltron deck built around a single haste attacker that doubles as a draw engine. The primary plan is to drop John early, attack every turn, and use his damage trigger to chain cheap pump spells into lethal commander damage. The highest-leverage second line is hand-size voltron: Empyrial Armor/Plate, Inner Calm, and Scent of Ivy turn the massive hand John generates into a giant alpha strike. Kutzil, Trostani, and Duelist's Heritage/Flaming Fist supply double strike and protection during the combat turn. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through 21 commander damage, with many instant-speed protection spells standing in for counterspells.
