Deck overview

This mono-blue tempo deck leverages an aggressive curve of cheap flying creatures to rapidly reduce the casting cost of The Lord of the Eagles. By deploying 1-drop and 2-drop evasive threats, the deck can flash in its 8/8 commander for as little as two blue mana on turn 4. Once assembled, the deck mounts a heavy airborne assault, dealing substantial combat damage while leaving mana open for counterspells and instant-speed interaction. Card draw engines like Reconnaissance Mission keep the hand full, and disruptive pieces like Harbinger of the Seas slow down opposing mana bases. The strategy finishes games through sustained, unblockable combat pressure over multiple turn cycles. While vulnerable to mass creature sweepers and lacking direct noncreature permanent removal, its high density of protective countermagic and flash threats allows it to dictate the pace of the game.
