Deck overview

Ghoulcaller Gisa leads a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats deck designed to overwhelm opponents through relentless token generation, lord anthem buffs, and compounding death triggers. The primary strategy uses early Zombie drops and mana rocks to establish board presence before deploying Gisa. Once active, Gisa sacrifices high-power creatures to double her Zombie army, triggering enter-the-battlefield and on-death value engines. Lords such as Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, and Undead Warchief transform these 2/2 tokens into lethal combat threats with deathtouch and menace, while drain engines like Vengeful Dead, Ayara, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel bypass blockers to drain the table directly. The deck sustains card advantage through sacrifice-driven draw effects like Undead Augur and Cryptbreaker, backed by resilient recursion such as Gravecrawler and Lord of the Undead. While the deck lacks instant-speed protection and artifact removal, its sheer functional redundancy and recursive capabilities allow it to rebuild rapidly and close out games through overwhelming swarm and life drain.
