Deck overview

Smeagol, Helpful Guide is the deck's engine: every creature death converts into a Ring temptation that mills an opponent and steals a land under our control. The deck pairs that effect with nine Nazgul to multiply Ring triggers and with sacrifice outlets (Yawgmoth, Warren Soultrader, Zuran Orb) to keep bodies dying. Secondary plans are landfall drain via Ob Nixilis and Iridescent Vinelasher, mass recursion with Lumra, and a Bloodchief Ascension + Syr Konrad graveyard-mill finish. The commander matters heavily, but the deck can still function as a Golgari midrange/reanimator pile without him, albeit a full turn slower. Expect a grindy advantage engine that wins via incremental life loss, Wraith beats, or a big reanimation turn.
