Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Grixis spellslinger storm deck commanded by Fire Lord Azula. Azula generates two red mana upon attacking and copies any spell cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages this combat-triggered copying ability to double the value of cheap instants, rituals, and card draw spells. A dense suite of cost reducers like Goblin Electromancer and Stormcatch Mentor, alongside Magecraft engines such as Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus, turns single spell casts into massive mana and card advantages. The primary win condition relies on group-slug pingers like Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Firebrand Archer, which trigger on each cast and copy to burn down all three opponents simultaneously. Backed by efficient 1-mana countermagic, targeted redirection spells like Bolt Bend, and graveyard recursion via Will of the Jeskai, the deck transitions from early board development on Turn 4 into an explosive, game-ending storm turn on Turn 5.
