Deck overview

This deck leverages Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder to generate massive card advantage and mana velocity through cascade chains. Early turns establish a strong mana base via efficient 1–2 CMC ramp spells and mana dorks. Once Yidris enters the battlefield and connects in combat, every spell cast from hand gains cascade, rapidly cheating large portions of the library into play. Support pieces like Averna, the Chaos Bloom, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, and Nalfeshnee amplify these cascade triggers by dropping free lands and copying spells cast from exile. The deck wins by overrunning opponents with giant cascaded creatures granted haste via Maelstrom Wanderer or burning the table down with Passionate Archaeologist. A tight package of free and cheap countermagic protects critical turns, while versatile removal handles opposing threats.
