I gonna gruul all over you by Muddy

Format: Commander

Commander: Blanka, Ferocious Friend

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul spellslinger deck is built around the unique triggered ability of The Howling Abomination - whenever it becomes the target of a spell, it gets +2/+2 and deals 2 damage to each opponent. The deck exploits this by chaining cheap cantrips and pump spells that target the commander, drawing cards, generating mana via Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist, and either finishing through massive commander damage with extra combats or by casting Chandra's Ignition for a one-shot kill. Secondary win conditions include Grapeshot storm, Venerated Rotpriest poison accumulation, and Zada, Hedron Grinder copying spells across a board of creatures. The deck is fast, explosive, and highly linear, relying heavily on the commander being on the battlefield to execute its game plan.
