Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck is commanded by Yahenni, Undying Partisan, serving as a resilient sacrifice outlet and aggressive threat. The deck establishes early token generation through cards like Bitterblossom, Ophiomancer, and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, paired with drain engines like Blood Artist and Bastion of Remembrance. In the mid-game, it pivots into heavy board control using Grave Pact, Archfiend of Depravity, and asymmetric edict effects, locking down opposing creature boards while growing Yahenni into a lethal combat threat. The late game is closed out through relentless life drain, combat pressure, and explosive mana finishers like Cabal Coffers into Torment of Hailfire. While vulnerable to exile sweepers, graveyard hate, and noncreature combo decks, the list features dense creature interaction and strong recovery.
