Deck overview

This deck is a Simic poison and proliferate midrange list commanded by Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres. The strategy focuses on establishing early poison counters across opponents through low-cost toxic creatures like Bloated Contaminator, Thrummingbird, and Venerated Rotpriest, or non-combat spells like Prologue to Phyresis and Infectious Bite. Once poison counters are seeded, deploying Ezuri turns every proliferate effect into card advantage, creating a self-fueling engine that refills the hand while ticking opponents toward the 10-poison lethal threshold. Midgame power multipliers like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus double proliferate output, while top-end bombs such as Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus and Nissa, Ascended Animist convert modest Phyrexian boards into lethal combat overruns. The deck features functional interaction, light stax through Soulless Jailer, and resilient recursion via Conduit of Worlds. However, its reliance on creature-centric board development and lack of board wipes leave it vulnerable to aggressive go-wide strategies and well-timed sweepers.
