Deck overview

Namor the Sub-Mariner leads a mono-blue Merfolk token army. Casting blue noncreature spells makes 1/1 Merfolk, so the deck pairs cheap draw spells, bounces, and tribal enchantments with lord effects that pump the resulting wide board. The primary finish is a flying/islandwalk alpha strike, boosted by Door of Destinies and Herald of Secret Streams. A secondary path uses Namor's large power for commander damage through Rogue's Passage. Emperor Mihail II is a secondary engine rather than a hidden commander; there is no double-faced commander to evaluate. The deck is a midrange tribal strategy rather than a combo deck.
