Deck overview

This Boros deck helmed by Plargg, Dean of Chaos // Augusta, Dean of Order is a high-mana-value spellslinger that leans heavily on cascade, extra combats, and treasure-based ramp. The front side of the commander provides looting and a narrow tutor for cheap nonlegendary nonland spells, while the back side buffs tapped/untapped creatures and untaps your board on attack, enabling multiple combat phases. The primary win path involves chaining expensive cascade spells (Call Forth the Tempest, Let the Galaxy Burn) into additional spells and finishing with extra-combat effects (Hexplate Wallbreaker, Seize the Day) or massive damage from Chandra's Ignition and Volcanic Torrent. Secondary threats include Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Avacyn, Angel of Hope. The deck is slow and clunky, relying on top-deck variance and cascade to generate advantage, with limited early interaction or protection.
