Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Esper Enchantress build commanded by Zur the Enchanter. The primary strategy focuses on accelerating Zur onto the battlefield by Turn 3 using low-cost mana rocks, then attacking on Turn 4 to tutor essential enchantments directly into play. The deck uses Zur to assemble layered protection (Diplomatic Immunity, Vanishing), defensive locks (Solemnity with Phyrexian Unlife, Ghostly Prison), and massive Voltron buffs (Steel of the Godhead, All That Glitters, Ethereal Armor). While Zur steadily eliminates opponents one by one with lethal unblockable commander damage, an oppressive suite of stax pieces (Drannith Magistrate, Lavinia, Azorius Renegade, Aura of Silence) and free counterspells (Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will) prevents opponents from developing winning board states. As a backup win condition, the list runs an infinite life-drain combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Marauding Blight-Priest alongside Bolas's Citadel.
