Deck overview

This deck is a themed Jeskai spellslinger build centered on Gandalf, Party Guest and legendary Wizard typal synergies. The game plan focuses on curving low-cost legendary Wizards like Baral, Chief of Compliance, Ral, Monsoon Mage, and Adeliz, the Cinder Wind into the commander. At combat, Gandalf cheats powerful instants and sorceries from hand for free based on your Wizard count. The deck converts this tempo into decisive board states using high-impact spells like Elemental Eruption and Raise the Palisade, or scaling engines like Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Thousand-Year Storm. An extensive interaction package keeps opposing threats at bay, while flavor inclusions featuring multiple Gandalf variants provide diverse utility and mid-game value.
