Deck overview

This Boros token-swarm deck is helmed by Otharri, Suns' Glory, a phoenix that grows exponentially with experience counters, spawning a 2/2 Rebel token for each counter on each attack. The primary game plan is to accelerate the experience-counter snowball through extra combat phases (Aggravated Assault, Aurelia, the Warleader, Genji Glove), and multiply the token army with myriad effects (Blade of Selves, Legion Loyalty, Duke Ulder Ravengard). Once the board is flooded, finishers like Divine Visitation (turning all tokens into 4/4 Angels) and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight (doubling all damage) close out the game. The commander's built-in recursion (tap an untapped Rebel to return Otharri from the graveyard) provides resilience against removal.
