Sauron Lord of the Rings Bracket 4 by mordonextra

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, Lord of the Rings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grixis reanimator built around Sauron, Lord of the Rings. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with haymakers-Archon of Cruelty, Sheoldred, Jin-Gitaxias, Sauron the Dark Lord-and cheat them into play with Reanimate, Animate Dead, Exhume, and Living Death. The commander's cast trigger amasses an Orc Army, mills five, and returns a creature, acting as both value engine and finisher. Secondary lines include the Mikaeus/Triskelion (with Ashnod's Altar) kill and Scourge of the Throne extra-combat pressure. The deck is not a fast combo deck; it wins through repeated reanimation and combat damage, with tutors and looting smoothing assembly. It can pivot between a fair midrange value game and a compact graveyard combo, depending on what the tutors reveal.
