Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger token deck helmed by Rootha, Mastering the Moment, built around a simple but explosive loop: cast instants and sorceries, then convert them into flying, hasty Elemental tokens at combat. The primary plan is to chain big spells (MV 5+) to create a large token, then multiply it with copy effects like Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, Rionya, Fire Dancer, Twinflame, and Rite of Replication before finishing with a pump spell like Surge to Victory. The deck also packs a "free spell" chain - Dance with Calamity, Creative Technique, Abstract Performance - that can turn into a game-ending turn. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by overwhelming the table with a wide, flying, hasty board. Rootha, Mercurial Artist in the 99 provides a second copy effect for key spells.
