Deck overview

This deck uses Selvala, Heart of the Wilds as both a mana engine and occasional card-draw engine. Small mana creatures and ramp accelerate the commander, then a large creature turns Selvala, Heart of the Wilds into a source of six to ten mana. The deck converts that mana into more large creatures, card advantage from Garruk's Uprising or Beast Whisperer, and combat pressure. Its strongest threat is a large Finale of Devastation, especially at X=10 or more, because the searched creature and the existing board gain +10/+10 and haste. The deck is powerful in a slower creature-oriented pod, but it does not have a compact deterministic win. Its critical state usually appears around turn 7, and it needs several combat steps to finish. Removal, sweepers, and opposing combo decks are significant problems because the interaction package is mostly green permanent removal and combat prevention.
