Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger tempo deck commanded by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor scales in power with the number of Merfolk you control and creates 1/1 Merfolk tokens whenever you cast noncreature spells with blue mana symbols. The game plan focuses on resolving Namor early on turn 3, then chaining cheap blue cantrips, auras, and counterspells to continuously build an army of tokens while increasing Namor's evasive commander damage. Support pieces such as Attuma, Atlantean Warlord and Sigil of Valor enhance combat effectiveness, while Harbinger of the Seas slows opposing mana bases. The deck heavily emphasizes interactive stack control with a wide array of situational counterspells. However, it lacks dedicated tutor suites, burst mana acceleration, and fast combo finishes, making it vulnerable to sweepers and drawn-out multi-turn combat races.
