This deck is a dedicated Mardu political control and pillowfort strategy led by Queen Marchesa. It introduces the Monarch mechanic early to secure consistent end-step card advantage while deploying defensive enchantments and combat taxes such as Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, No Mercy, and Marchesa's Decree to make attacking you unprofitable. Meanwhile, goad cards like Kardur, Doomscourge, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, and Disrupt Decorum force opponents to direct their aggression at each other, draining life totals across the table.
