Deck overview

This Golgari deck focuses on mid-game creature combat, +1/+1 counter distribution, and light graveyard recursion led by Vanille, Cheerful l'Cie. The game plan revolves around playing on-curve creatures, utilizing Vanille's enter-the-battlefield trigger to mill cards and return key permanents to hand, and growing threats using cards like Savanti Romero, Time's Exile, Pizza Face, Gastromancer, and Death's Presence. The deck features an assortment of spot removal and fighting spells to control opposing threats while developing ground power. However, with limited ramp pieces and minimal card selection, the deck progresses at a traditional one-land-per-turn pace. Closing games requires navigating multiple combat phases to deal 120 total damage without mass evasion, leaving the strategy exposed to opposing sweepers. Despite this vulnerability, the deck possesses solid mid-game resilience through redundant value creatures and commander-based recursion.
