Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages The Ur-Sphinx from the command zone, using its Eminence ability to reduce the casting cost of all Sphinx spells by one mana. Because creatures with changeling possess every creature type, low-cost shapeshifters like Universal Automaton, Changeling Outcast, and Amoeboid Changeling deploy rapidly for zero to one mana. These creatures bridge diverse tribal synergies across Sphinxes, Slivers, and Demons. The deck establishes an engine by Turn 4 with card-advantage powerhouses such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Kindred Discovery, or Black Market Connections. It unifies its creatures using Maskwood Nexus, Arcane Adaptation, and Leyline of Transformation, allowing Sliver lords like Bonescythe Sliver and Diffusion Sliver to grant team-wide double strike, flying, and targeting taxes. By Turn 6, the deck initiates critical onset through asymmetric board wipes like Raise the Palisade or overwhelming evasive combat damage, closing out the table by Turn 7 under the protection of efficient countermagic and Ranger-Captain of Eos.
