Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir flash-tempo and Faerie tribal strategy built around Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It operates primarily at instant speed on opponents' turns, pairing cheap countermagic, spot removal, and flash creatures with Alela's token-generating trigger. As 1/1 flying Faeries accumulate, connecting in combat allows Alela to repeatedly goad opposing threats, turning opponents against one another while leaving the deck safe from crackback damage. Card advantage engines such as Enduring Curiosity, Reconnaissance Mission, and Wavebreak Hippocamp ensure a steady stream of interaction. The deck closes games around Turns 6 to 8 by converting its wide evasive board into lethal damage using high-impact finishers like Shadow Puppeteers, Glen Elendra Liege, and Notorious Throng.
