Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul artifact-synergy and token-stompy list helmed by Aerid Konstrari. The strategy focuses on accumulating artifact tokens—specifically Heartwood mana tokens and Treasures—to accelerate mana, fuel artifact-count synergies, and scale up massive combat swings. In the early game, the deck utilizes low-cost ramp and utility creatures like Llanowar Elves, Sol Ring, and Tenured Tethermage to deploy Aerid by Turn 4. Once Aerid is on the battlefield, its enter-the-battlefield trigger and activated ability generate mana-producing Heartwood tokens while swelling Aerid's power to lethal heights. The deck transitions into the late game by leveraging massive overruns and token payoffs such as Craterclaw Colossus, Craterhoof Behemoth, and Draconic Visitor. While the deck possesses strong internal mana ramp and high combat redundancy, it exhibits minimal stack protection and relies heavily on sequential attack steps across multiple turns to close out games against the table.
