Squirrels by user4994113

Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General turns every token you create into an additional Squirrel, so this is a Golgari swarm deck that multiplies small token plays into an overwhelming board. The primary plan is to get Chatterfang down early, layer token generators and doublers such as Deep Forest Hermit, Second Harvest, Peregrin Took, and Chitterspitter, then finish either by attacking with Squirrel lords or by draining the table with Mirkwood Bats and death-trigger payoffs. Scurry Oak plus Ivy Lane Denizen creates an infinite Squirrel loop, while Hazel of the Rootbloom acts as a hidden commander, copying tokens and converting them into mana. Chatterfang is a force multiplier, not the engine, so the deck keeps functioning if he is removed repeatedly.
