Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Reanimator and Discard Midrange strategy commanded by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The central game plan uses cheap discard outlets, looters, and landcyclers to discard massive, game-warping creatures such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Consecrated Sphinx, and Ancient Silver Dragon. By paying {2}{U} whenever a creature is discarded, Hashaton cheats out 4/4 black Zombie token copies of these threats well ahead of their normal mana costs. Supported by traditional reanimation spells like Reanimate, Victimize, and Living Death, the deck maintains extreme resilience against disruption. Once an oppressive board presence is established, the deck locks opponents out of resources and attacks for lethal combat damage over multiple turns, frequently granting flying to the entire board through Wonder. It delivers reliable, high-synergy gameplay with strong interactive tools and compounding resource engines.
