Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos spellslinger strategy built around Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. The primary game plan accelerates Kuja into play on Turn 3, rapidly amassing Wizard tokens through Kuja's end-step triggers and low-cost utility spells. By Turn 4, the deck achieves the four-Wizard threshold to transform Kuja into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. On Turn 5, the deck converts noncreature spell velocity into explosive table-wide burn, chaining cantrips, rituals, and impulse draw alongside mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist. While the board-dependent setup faces vulnerability to creature sweepers, the deck leverages efficient 1-mana death-redirection spells such as Feign Death and Malakir Rebirth to protect its engine. Supported by damage multipliers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and flexible removal, the deck reliably closes out all three opponents by Turn 6.
