Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Spellslinger Burn engine commanded by Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. The strategy leverages Ghyrson's static ability to amplify any single point of damage into three, turning cheap global sweepers and spellslinger pingers into devastating weapons. Early turns focus on establishing fast mana and deploying low-cost pingers like Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, and Coruscation Mage. Once Ghyrson enters the battlefield, spells like End the Festivities and Electrickery function as asymmetric board wipes while simultaneously burning opponents' life totals. Card draw auras such as Curiosity and Ophidian Eye turn each spell cast into a multi-card draw burst, enabling explosive storm-like turns. Backed by format-staple free countermagic and a secondary combo finish in Niv-Mizzet, Parun, the deck applies relentless life total pressure while suppressing opposing creature boards.
